Saturday night, just back from a fabulous afternoon with Mahler's Symphony no.2- Ressurection. Very intense. 120 strong ensemble of musicians, 85 chorists, and 2 sopranos. The only word to describe it is majestic. I feel reborn and ready to attack Melbourne full on =).
Work is very sparse and enjoyable, have loads of time to write and plan away all the activities I want to take part in... Very accommodating, my boss wants me to have the best experience possible of the city before we leave for Asia so anything goes, basically. Can't complain... Perfect.
Missing my chicas, the family and my little babies... Heading to church tomorrow morning, to get a feel of the Australian way of life. Should be fun, followed by some shopping and afternoon tea, and maybe a dinner. It's a day of rest tomorrow, and a long weekend as Monday is Labour Day here, so long weekend.
Visited the Royal Casino... the hotel part of it was extremely Las Vegas, down to the fountains coordinated to a music show. So checked off my list. Don't need to go there now... not that I had any intentions.
Everything is new and very stimulating. And yes, the toilet does flush counterclockwise... Will bring proof home!
