Saturday in the Royal Botanical Gardens

Today was great- spend amongst local fauna and flora. Could not have asked for more.
First off, got a great night's sleep. The higher floor did make a difference: no noise at all! YEY. So, started off the day at the Rocks market, browsing through jewelry, rocks, clothing, food, artifacts.. too much for me! The Shopaholic was awoken.. and all the things I liked were extremely expensive, think 1000AUD...
those huuuuge bracelets with opals and rings with red coral were amazing. Wish I could have been a millionaire and get you one each =)

Had a lovely Turkish snack, and practiced my language skills with the people
working... they were impressed a white girl knew so much! And they made me think of the fisherman's family I met in the south of Turkey... nice time.

THEN I discovered the motherload: a fine wine shop, only selling local vineyards-family-owned wines...mmmm... and they have a wine bar next door with a Michelin star trained chef... definitely going back, and the lady was sooo helpful and nice. Her business partner is also Canadian, so she told me to come back and tell her about the wines she recommended. All I can say as I am drinking the First Drop (Sauvignon Blanc from Adelaide) is that she knows her stuff. Their wines are picked only by sommeliers. So told her I had found my second home. Definitely the type of business I'd like to own one day...

After that, visited the Royal Botanical Gardens... so beautiful and peaceful... and btw, what I thought were bats are actually not, even though they really look-sound-smell like the creepy animal. They are actually grey-headed flying foxes!!! See pic...hopefully you get to realize how MANY there were ...and juste everywhere... Weddings galore going on on this beautiful day- saw at least 5, and really loved one dress!

Now back home and resting before the Guys and Dolls musical tonight. Should be loads of fun- I know I have the perrrrrfect outfit for it!
