They say Sunday is the day God rested. Well, it is the day Carolyne rested as well. Having gone to bed at 6am after writing and speaking to mum and sis, was exhausted. Woke up at 11, to then go back to bed until 1pm. Decided working out would be the best way to start the day as I'd had LOTS of dee-lish Greek pastries (+ ham and cheese croissant ...I know, I'm bad...) at Sat brunch, and ate the Pavlova (a HIGH sugar cake that Phil made... very good but oh-so-sugar-rush...).
Then went to brunch and read papers, before heading to Ste.Theresa's church for 5pm mass. I am really loving this hour of calm on Sundays... the priest made a very interesting point about religion. He said nowadays, people are SOULed out. That their heart and souls are not connecting. I had to grab my notepad and jot it down while he was saying it- he was so contemporary in his approach to religion and how people should start reconnecting themselves to their core, their heart... Beautiful.
Then went on to the BEST movie experience I've had in my life. I had previously mentioned they can drink wine at the movies.. Well we went to the Director's suite, a room that holds 27 seats Lay-z-boy style, where you order your food and drinks that they bring to you at your request throughout the movie. Very red carpet, VIP treatment. Saw Confessions of a Shopaholic (perrrrfect movie for the room..sorry girls =)...), which I laughed and cried at. But we also had a sparkling wine bottle and dips with Turkish bread... AT THE MOVIES!
Loved every second of this too-good-to-be-true movie time. Made me feel like we were at the director's house watching the final cut.... I must export this type of experience back home.
Now attempting to give life to Luz on paper once again, as she attempts to seduce her married client...
Nighty night everyone... X
